At this stage, students watch a  popular video which urges them to cut down on the time they spend on mobile phones and other portable devices. As a pre-viewing task, the teacher can elicit or pre-tech some of the "key" vocabulary of the video (e.g. "eye contact", "illusion", "delusion", "self-promotion", "contact list"). Questions creating expectation, such as "Why do you think the person in the video urges people to look up?" and "What are they urged to look up from?", are asked. Students watch the video and confirm their answers. (The pre-viewing task should last about 10 minutes at most). After watching the interactive video, students are given worksheets, which they try to complete in pairs or groups.
